About
In 1930s Germany, a woman puts on her dead husband's trousers and never takes them off - enduring war, dictatorship, hunger and humiliation as the world around her changes. Tilda Swinton returns to the role of Ella/Max in Manfred Karge's play, over 30 years after she originated it.
