Tār: Jasdeep Singh Degun and Paulo Vinicius

The sitarist and composer Jasdeep Singh Degun and the guitarist Paulo Vinicius give the world premiere of their collaboration Tār, exploring two musical traditions through strings. They perform facing one another in the centre of the room, with the audience gathered around them in a baithak-style setting, and the programme includes new arrangements of Bach and Debussy.
