About
Robert Icke writes and directs the first stage version of Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck's Oscar-winning 2007 film. In East Berlin in 1984, a Stasi officer listening from the attic above a playwright and his actress partner is gradually drawn into their lives, and his loyalty to the regime is put to the test. Keira Knightley, Luke Thompson and Stephen Dillane lead the cast in a drama of surveillance, censorship and the uneasy relationship between art and politics.
