The Wallace Collection at War - FREE

In 1942, evacuated treasures left Hertford House unexpectedly available for cultural diplomacy. This display revisits two wartime exhibitions—Artists Aid Russia and Twenty-Five Years of Progress—through archives, catalogues and works shown at the time, tracing how art, propaganda and architecture supported Anglo-Soviet alliance. The display complements an exhibition of over 50 paintings by Winston Churchill.
