There must be a reason that the name for the commercial and entertainment heart of London – the 'West End' – is, quite literally, synonymous with theatre. Perhaps that's because, for centuries, there's never been anywhere in the world quite like the capital for drama. From crowd-pleasing musicals to avant-garde 'straight plays', we cover the whole range, as well as such other 'stage' arts as Opera, Dance and Comedy.
